Words of Faith

The First Baptist Church of Datil, aka Datil Baptist Church, is a small country church in west central New Mexico.  Primarily a ranching community, the growth of subdivisions in the area is rapidly changing the face of the community.  The town of Datil consist of approximately 50 residents with approximately 250 additional residents in the surrounding area.  There is a Post Office, three churches, a combination gas station-restaurant-grocery store-motel and RV park in town.   Also there is a elementary school for grades 1-6.  The combined churches have community get togethers, such as Easter Sunrise service, where we have a cowboy breakfast cooked over a campfire, along with singing and a Service.
